Draft Grade — Giants
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA FutureD
More right than wrong for the Giants, and a B to prove it.

Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Kyle Williams at the 105th pick is 65 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Getting Trader Jr. where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Travis Hunter
In slot 3 they get a potential shutdown corner at fair value.
Pick34 Rnd2 Derrick Harmon
They did well to land Derrick Harmon in the 34th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick35 Rnd2 Marcus Mbow
A reach on Marcus Mbow in No. 35; the board had better options right there. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick65 Rnd3 Jalen Milroe
A big swing on Jalen Milroe at Round 3, Pick 1, well ahead of any board in the building. It fills a real need, too.
Pick105 Rnd4 Kyle Williams
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Kyle Williams well ahead of where he belonged. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick154 Rnd5 RJ Harvey
A premium they did not need to pay, RJ Harvey a notch or two before his time. The roster fit checks out.
Pick219 Rnd7 Karene Reid
Karene Reid slid further than he should have, and the Round 7 slot is lovely value for the linebacker. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick246 Rnd7 Dante Trader Jr.
Dante Trader Jr. slipping to No. 246 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
