Draft Grade — Giants

The Giants bled value on every deal, hence the D. You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Giants did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.
If Pavia pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Spencer Fano
In the 3rd pick they get a long-term starter on the line. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick17
Rnd1
Jordyn Tyson
In the Round 1 slot they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick64
Rnd2
Rod Moore
By-the-book stuff, Rod Moore at No. 64 squarely in line with his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick106
Rnd4
Zachariah Branch
Zachariah Branch in pick 106 is fair value, right on his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick146
Rnd5
Jacob Rodriguez
A reach on Jacob Rodriguez in slot 146; the board had better options right there. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick190
Rnd6
Oscar Delp
Oscar Delp at Round 6, Pick 12 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick220
Rnd7
Diego Pavia
They talked themselves into Diego Pavia at pick No. 220, and the board did not agree. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick246
Rnd7
Brandon Inniss
Brandon Inniss in the 246th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
