Draft Grade — Giants
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A franchise passer in Sanders headlines a B- weekend for the Giants.

The Giants spent the pick that matters most on Shedeur Sanders, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

They are betting Zuhn III proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The Ratledge steal is the beam this whole class leans on. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Shedeur Sanders
In the Round 1 slot they get the arm they will build around at fair value.
Pick34 Rnd2 Kaleb Johnson
No edge and no loss on Kaleb Johnson in the 34th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick65 Rnd3 Tate Ratledge
Tate Ratledge at Round 3, Pick 1 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick103 Rnd4 Mason Taylor
Mason Taylor at pick 103 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It fills a real need, too.
Pick134 Rnd4 Trey Zuhn III
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Trey Zuhn III well ahead of where he belonged. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick153 Rnd5 Willie Lampkin
Willie Lampkin in slot 153 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick219 Rnd7 Xavier Truss
They reached a country mile for Xavier Truss at pick No. 219, and the board is aghast. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick246 Rnd7 Aydan White
They went early on Aydan White in the 246th overall pick, and the value did not follow. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
