Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Giants were there to profit. Cam Skattebo, the No. 113 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 219th overall pick. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Dumervil has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Cam Ward gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
