Draft Grade — Giants
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Ward in the fold, and a B- for the Giants.

The Giants spent the pick that matters most on Cam Ward, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

However the rest shakes out, Sampson at that price is a win they earned. Every board in the league had Sanders lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Cam Ward
In the 1st overall pick they get a long-term answer under center. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick33 Rnd2 Kenneth Grant
Fair-plus on Kenneth Grant, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick65 Rnd3 Charles Grant
Charles Grant in pick 65 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick102 Rnd4 Dylan Sampson
They barely believed it either: Dylan Sampson still on the board at Round 4, Pick 1. It fills a real need, too.
Pick134 Rnd4 Evan Stewart
They will replay Evan Stewart at the 134th pick for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick153 Rnd5 Eli Stowers
Eli Stowers at No. 153 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick217 Rnd7 Shilo Sanders
A big swing on Shilo Sanders at pick No. 217, well ahead of any board in the building. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
