The Giants spent the pick that matters most on Cam Ward, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

However the rest shakes out, Sampson at that price is a win they earned. Every board in the league had Sanders lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
