The Giants won the night they stopped Restrepo from sliding. Grade: B+.

Somebody in pick No. 254 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Giants sat still while Xavier Restrepo, the No. 16 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
