The tape said wait; the Giants did not. Graham Mertz went at the Round 7 slot, a good 66 picks before the board was ready. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

Getting Taylor where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 9 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
