The search is over. The Giants handed the keys to Cam Ward, and the whole operation now runs on his development. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

Monangai falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They will need Frazier to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Alfred Collins slid further than he should have, and the Round 3 slot is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.

You do not let a tight end like Elijah Arroyo reach No. 104 and blink. They did not. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.

The board fumbled Jared Wilson all the way to the 134th pick, and they scooped it up. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

Billy Bowman Jr. at the 155th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
