Draft Grade — Giants
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB-
The Giants worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Giants should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.

Every board in the league had Moss lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Adding Alex Highsmith by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick5 Rnd1 Caleb Downs
In Round 1, Pick 5 they get a two-high chess piece at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick21 Rnd1 Sonny Styles
Sonny Styles at the 21st overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick37 Rnd2 Emmanuel Pregnon
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Emmanuel Pregnon. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick85 Rnd3 Domonique Orange
The board had Domonique Orange higher than pick No. 85, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick105 Rnd4 Malik Muhammad
Malik Muhammad in the Round 4 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick145 Rnd5 Kevin Coleman Jr.
A big swing on Kevin Coleman Jr. at pick 145, well ahead of any board in the building. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick186 Rnd6 Kaleb Elarms-Orr
A reasonable price with a little left over, Kaleb Elarms-Orr in No. 186. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick192 Rnd6 Le'Veon Moss
Le'Veon Moss at slot 192 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The roster fit checks out.
Pick193 Rnd6 Zane Durant
Zane Durant in the 193rd pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
