The Commanders did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and David Stone fell into slot 41. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Derrick Henry pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
