Grand theft in slot 143: the Giants steal Davis and grade out a A-.

The real work happened on the phones. The Giants fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with.

However the rest shakes out, Davis at that price is a win they earned. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Every board in the league had Tate lower, and that gap is the story.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
