A franchise passer in Sanders headlines a D weekend for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Billy Bowman Jr., the No. 92 name on the board, in the 170th overall pick.

The cost of the Dellinger reach is exactly the players who went right after him. So much rides on Shedeur Sanders that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

The Cowboys indulged a want in Walker while a need in tight end and interior defensive lineman stayed open. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, tight end very much included.
