For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Bengals walked out of the weekend still thin at cornerback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
