Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
D-
ValueC+

TradesF
FutureB-
Nix is the Seahawks' new face under center. Grade: D-. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Seahawks shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.
They have staked the next five years on Bo Nix, which is the only story that really matters here. Reaching for McCaffrey left real value on the table behind him.
A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Bo Nix
In the 23rd pick they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value.
Pick43
Rnd2
Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe at Round 2, Pick 11 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick74
Rnd3
Cade Stover
Cade Stover in slot 74 is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick86
Rnd3
Marshawn Kneeland
Nothing to complain about; Marshawn Kneeland went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick102
Rnd4
Mekhi Wingo
They paid sticker price for Mekhi Wingo in pick No. 102, and that is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick108
Rnd4
Cedric Gray
Cedric Gray at pick 108 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick109
Rnd4
Matt Goncalves
No edge and no loss on Matt Goncalves in the 109th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick118
Rnd4
Isaac Guerendo
Isaac Guerendo at the Round 4 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick127
Rnd4
Josh Newton
Josh Newton in Round 4, Pick 27 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick129
Rnd4
Luke McCaffrey
Luke McCaffrey in No. 129 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick162
Rnd5
Tykee Smith
A tidy little value on Tykee Smith in the 162nd overall pick, a step better than break-even. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
