The Chargers treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending slot 199 on Barryn Sorrell a full 115 spots early.

Getting Reed where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. The Chargers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
