Draft Grade — Packers
Overall C+
ValueC NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The Packers get a C+.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Packers reached some 56 spots for Da'Shawn Womack, and value like that does not grow back. It nets out a thoroughly average C+.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Getting Jackson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Hit on Domonique Orange and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick52 Rnd2 Domonique Orange
A real head-scratcher, Domonique Orange in the 52nd overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. The roster fit checks out.
Pick84 Rnd3 Daylen Everette
They paid up for Daylen Everette at pick 84 when waiting would have done the job. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick120 Rnd4 Logan Jones
The board had cheaper options than Logan Jones at No. 120, and it noticed. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick159 Rnd5 Domani Jackson
Domani Jackson at pick No. 159 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick200 Rnd6 Da'Shawn Womack
They talked themselves into Da'Shawn Womack at Round 6, Pick 20, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick236 Rnd7 Jordan Hall
Jordan Hall at the Round 7 slot is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick254 Rnd7 Roman Hemby
They reached a country mile for Roman Hemby at Round 7, Pick 38, and the board is aghast. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick257 Rnd7 Luke Hasz
Luke Hasz in the 257th overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
