Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Packers. The Packers bet big and early on Steele Chambers, 103 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right.
That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick9
Rnd1
Olumuyiwa Fashanu
They took Olumuyiwa Fashanu at par in Round 1, Pick 9, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick41
Rnd2
Keon Coleman
Good price on Keon Coleman in the 41st pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick43
Rnd2
Sedrick Van Pran
A wild overpay on Sedrick Van Pran in pick 43, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick73
Rnd3
Braelon Allen
By-the-book stuff, Braelon Allen at the 73rd overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick82
Rnd3
TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson in slot 82 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick109
Rnd4
Shilo Sanders
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Shilo Sanders. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick135
Rnd4
Darius Robinson
The board had cheaper options than Darius Robinson at the 135th pick, and it noticed. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick187
Rnd6
Ben Sinnott
A tight end of that caliber at the Round 6 slot is the definition of value, full stop. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick217
Rnd6
Kaimon Rucker
A real head-scratcher, Kaimon Rucker in pick No. 217 is miles ahead of his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick219
Rnd6
Steele Chambers
Steele Chambers at the 219th overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick230
Rnd7
Storm Duck
Storm Duck in pick 230 is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
