When a board-topper like Jadarian Price slides to slot 92, you do not overthink it, and the Commanders did not. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
