Draft Grade — Bills
Overall D-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesF FutureB-
Larceny in the 219th overall pick lands the Bills a D-, Robertson and all.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Bills, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. If Harbor pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Landing Robertson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Kayden McDonald
In pick 26 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick41 Rnd2 Nyck Harbor
Nyck Harbor at the Round 2 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick57 Rnd2 CJ Allen
They read the board right and CJ Allen was the payoff at pick No. 57. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick91 Rnd3 A.J. Haulcy
A tidy bit of business in Round 3, Pick 27, where A.J. Haulcy graded well above the range. The roster fit checks out.
Pick126 Rnd4 Jaishawn Barham
Jaishawn Barham at the 126th pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the linebacker. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick134 Rnd4 DJ McKinney
DJ McKinney slid further than he should have, and No. 134 is lovely value for the cornerback. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick138 Rnd4 Eric Rivers
A premium they did not need to pay, Eric Rivers a notch or two before his time. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick186 Rnd6 Rayshaun Benny
They paid a round early for Rayshaun Benny in pick 186, more than the board wanted. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick219 Rnd7 Sawyer Robertson
Sawyer Robertson in Round 7, Pick 5 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick226 Rnd7 DeAndre Moore Jr.
A straight-up fair deal on DeAndre Moore Jr. at No. 226, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
