Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Nix is the plan now, and the Packers grade out a B-.

The search is over. The Packers handed the keys to Bo Nix, and the whole operation now runs on his development.

However the rest shakes out, Davis at that price is a win they earned. They are betting Hartman proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick19 Rnd1 Bo Nix
They took Bo Nix at par in No. 19, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick40 Rnd2 Troy Fautanu
Troy Fautanu in Round 2, Pick 8 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick51 Rnd2 Chris Braswell
Chris Braswell at slot 51 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the edge rusher. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick83 Rnd3 Rod Moore
Rod Moore at the 83rd pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick88 Rnd3 TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson at the Round 3 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick119 Rnd4 Tyler Davis
The board had Tyler Davis higher than the 119th overall pick, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick135 Rnd4 Khyree Jackson
Good price on Khyree Jackson in pick No. 135, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick197 Rnd6 Moose Muhammad III
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Moose Muhammad III at pick 197 is the proof. The roster fit checks out.
Pick217 Rnd6 Reuben Fatheree II
A reach for Reuben Fatheree II in No. 217; a little patience would have been rewarded. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick219 Rnd6 Francisco Mauigoa
No edge and no loss on Francisco Mauigoa in pick 219; it is a wash and a sensible one. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick240 Rnd7 Sam Hartman
They reached a country mile for Sam Hartman at the 240th overall pick, and the board is aghast. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
