The Packers worked the phones like thieves and earned a B. You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Packers did exactly that with Sam Hartman in the Round 6 slot. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
Smith at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The phones were where this weekend was really won. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Adding A.J. Epenesa by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
