The war room fell hard for Maurice Smith, and it showed at Round 6, Pick 44: 78 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Brade. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
