Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

Nobody else had Kingsley Eguakun anywhere near the Round 6 slot. The Packers did, by 33 spots, and that gap is the whole story. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Watts at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Jared Verse
In the Round 1 slot they get a disruptor off the edge at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick41 Rnd2 T'Vondre Sweat
T'Vondre Sweat at pick No. 41 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick57 Rnd2 Mekhi Wingo
No drama and no debate, Mekhi Wingo went about where he belonged in the 57th pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick88 Rnd3 Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe in the 88th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The roster fit checks out.
Pick92 Rnd3 Audric Estime
Audric Estime in Round 3, Pick 29 is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick126 Rnd4 Javon Foster
Javon Foster at pick 126 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick163 Rnd5 Jaylan Ford
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jaylan Ford well ahead of where he belonged. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick168 Rnd5 Michael Barrett
A real head-scratcher, Michael Barrett in the 168th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick203 Rnd6 Kingsley Eguakun
Kingsley Eguakun at slot 203 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It fills a real need, too.
Pick216 Rnd6 Christian Jones
Nice patience on Christian Jones, who had no business lasting to pick 216. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick243 Rnd7 Ryan Watts
You do not let a cornerback like Ryan Watts reach the Round 7 slot and blink. They did not. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick251 Rnd7 Isaiah Neyor
Isaiah Neyor in the 251st pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
