LeapinLambeaus DRAFTING FOR THEPackers
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Packers: B-. The Packers went off the board in a big way for Brennan Armstrong, 53 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.
A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Chop Robinson
In slot 25 they get a bendy edge with upside, though they paid up to get him. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick41
Rnd2
T'Vondre Sweat
Value said wait; T'Vondre Sweat in pick 41 says they were not listening. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick57
Rnd2
Kiran Amegadjie
A reasonable price with a little left over, Kiran Amegadjie in Round 2, Pick 25. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick88
Rnd3
Marist Liufau
They paid sticker price for Marist Liufau in the 88th pick, and that is fine. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick91
Rnd3
Audric Estime
They took Audric Estime at par in the Round 3 slot, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick125
Rnd4
Jarrian Jones
Jarrian Jones at pick No. 125 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick135
Rnd4
James Williams
No edge and no loss on James Williams in Round 4, Pick 35; it is a wash and a sensible one. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick203
Rnd6
Matthew Jones
A wild overpay on Matthew Jones in pick 203, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick217
Rnd6
Maurice Smith
Maurice Smith at the 217th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick219
Rnd6
Brennan Armstrong
Brennan Armstrong at pick No. 219 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick246
Rnd7
Zion Logue
No drama and no debate, Zion Logue went about where he belonged in the 246th overall pick. It fills a real need, too.
