LeapinLambeaus DRAFTING FOR THEPackers

Draft Grade — Packers
Overall
B-
ValueB

TradesB
FutureB-
The Packers kept it disciplined and banked a B-. The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Packers reached some 40 spots for Marist Liufau, and value like that does not grow back.
Rosengarten falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick26
Rnd1
Graham Barton
In pick 26 they get a cornerstone up front. A real need, handled.
Pick41
Rnd2
Tyler Nubin
No drama and no debate, Tyler Nubin went about where he belonged in the 41st pick. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick58
Rnd2
T'Vondre Sweat
They read the board right and T'Vondre Sweat was the payoff at the 58th overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
Pick88
Rnd3
Sedrick Van Pran
A quiet steal in Round 3, Pick 25: Sedrick Van Pran for less than the market said. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick89
Rnd3
Max Melton
Nice patience on Max Melton, who had no business lasting to slot 89. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick91
Rnd3
Audric Estime
They paid a round early for Audric Estime in No. 91, more than the board wanted. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick126
Rnd4
Marist Liufau
Marist Liufau at No. 126 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick169
Rnd5
Roger Rosengarten
Roger Rosengarten in the Round 5 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick202
Rnd6
Jaylan Ford
No edge and no loss on Jaylan Ford in pick No. 202; it is a wash and a sensible one. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick219
Rnd6
Jaylen Harrell
They let Jaylen Harrell come to them and pounced at slot 219. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick220
Rnd6
Tahj Washington
They robbed the room for Tahj Washington here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick245
Rnd7
C.J. Hanson
C.J. Hanson in the 245th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick255
Rnd7
Dominique Hampton
Dominique Hampton at Round 7, Pick 35 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
