The Seahawks found their guy under center in McCarthy: D-.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Seahawks shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

So much rides on J.J. McCarthy that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The Mahogany value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
