The 49ers turned the phones into found money: B+.

The Gabe Hall selection is the head-turner. The 49ers reached 88 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

The Newton steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

The Jones pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback and linebacker still on the board. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
