The Cowboys spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Donovan Edwards, the No. 186 name on the board, in Round 7, Pick 28. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

They will need Griffith to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
