Draft Grade — Patriots
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
The Patriots bet the future on Daniels. The board says B+.

Start where it matters. The Patriots took Jayden Daniels to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.

The Sinnott reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Landing Odunze that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Adoree' Jackson gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
A straight-up fair deal on Jayden Daniels at pick No. 6, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick34 Rnd2 Olumuyiwa Fashanu
They will replay Olumuyiwa Fashanu at pick 34 for years; that is how good the value is. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick47 Rnd2 Rome Odunze
Rome Odunze at slot 47 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick48 Rnd2 T'Vondre Sweat
Fair-plus on T'Vondre Sweat, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick68 Rnd3 Khyree Jackson
They talked themselves into Khyree Jackson at No. 68, and the board did not agree. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick96 Rnd3 Ben Sinnott
Ben Sinnott at Round 3, Pick 33 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick137 Rnd5 Kitan Oladapo
Kitan Oladapo at the 137th overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick180 Rnd6 Dylan Laube
Dylan Laube at the 180th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick193 Rnd6 Zion Tupuola-Fetui
They left a pile of value on the table to take Zion Tupuola-Fetui this early at No. 193. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick231 Rnd7 KT Leveston
A conviction pick on KT Leveston at slot 231 that the board grades a round light. A need, and now a little less of one.
