FutureB+
The Packers kept it disciplined and banked a B+. The Packers looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Cody Lindenberg at the 200th pick regardless, 49 picks early. No fireworks, but a solid B+.
That is an interior defensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick34
Rnd2
Nick Emmanwori
They read the board right and Nick Emmanwori was the payoff at the 34th overall pick. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick55
Rnd2
Tre Harris
A tidy little value on Tre Harris in pick No. 55, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick87
Rnd3
Alfred Collins
Alfred Collins at the 87th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick104
Rnd4
Darien Porter
Darien Porter in pick 104 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick123
Rnd4
Savion Williams
A wide receiver of that caliber at No. 123 is the definition of value, full stop. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick160
Rnd5
Jack Nelson
Jack Nelson in Round 5, Pick 21 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The roster fit checks out.
Pick177
Rnd5
Chase Lundt
Fair-plus on Chase Lundt, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick200
Rnd6
Cody Lindenberg
Cody Lindenberg at No. 200 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick239
Rnd7
Miles Frazier
They paid sticker price for Miles Frazier in the 239th overall pick, and that is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick251
Rnd7
Shilo Sanders
A real head-scratcher, Shilo Sanders in Round 7, Pick 33 is miles ahead of his ranking. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
