Thirty-one other rooms let Joe Royer slide, and the Saints were the ones holding the card at the 150th pick. Highway robbery.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. Reaching for Regis left real value on the table behind him. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
