The Seahawks put a flag in the ground for Hayden Hatten, 77 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. With running back unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.

The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
