Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall C-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesF FutureC+
The Raiders bled value on every deal, hence the C-.

Somebody took the Raiders to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. A mixed bag that lands at C-.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Reaching for Hamilton left real value on the table behind him. Fidone II at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

On the needs board they went 7 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Josh Conerly Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 20 they get a plug-and-play piece up front, though they paid up to get him. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick33 Rnd2 Emeka Egbuka
Emeka Egbuka at the 33rd overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick37 Rnd2 Trey Amos
They liked Trey Amos enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 37. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick51 Rnd2 TreVeyon Henderson
They took TreVeyon Henderson at par in the Round 2 slot, which is nothing to complain about. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick67 Rnd3 Darien Porter
Darien Porter in the 67th pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick68 Rnd3 Carson Schwesinger
Carson Schwesinger in No. 68 is fair value, right on his grade. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick69 Rnd3 Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins slid further than he should have, and pick No. 69 is lovely value for the wide receiver. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick80 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
No edge and no loss on Andrew Mukuba in slot 80; it is a wash and a sensible one. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick94 Rnd3 Cam Skattebo
A reach for Cam Skattebo in Round 3, Pick 30; a little patience would have been rewarded. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick108 Rnd4 Anthony Belton
Anthony Belton at No. 108 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick122 Rnd4 Kyle McCord
A tidy little value on Kyle McCord in the 122nd overall pick, a step better than break-even. It fills a real need, too.
Pick143 Rnd5 Bhayshul Tuten
A premium they did not need to pay, Bhayshul Tuten a notch or two before his time. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick180 Rnd6 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
A straight-up fair deal on Dont'e Thornton Jr. at the Round 6 slot, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick189 Rnd6 Caleb Ransaw
Caleb Ransaw at slot 189 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick213 Rnd6 Isaac TeSlaa
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Isaac TeSlaa well ahead of where he belonged. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick215 Rnd6 Thomas Fidone II
Thomas Fidone II slipping to the 215th pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick222 Rnd7 Bilhal Kone
Bilhal Kone in Round 7, Pick 6 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick232 Rnd7 Ty Hamilton
A wild overpay on Ty Hamilton in the 232nd overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. The roster fit checks out.
