The Raiders spent the pick that matters most on Fernando Mendoza, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

If Alexander pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The Daniels value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
