They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

The Duke reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. On value alone, Smith makes the weekend a net positive.

The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
