If confidence were a draft strategy, the Bears would have aced it. Phillip Webb at Round 5, Pick 10 is 190 spots clear of where he belonged. The final tally is a middling C+.

They banked enough surplus on Nolen to cover a lot of smaller sins. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.
