The Bears checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

There is reaching, and then there is Phillip Webb at pick No. 170. The Bears jumped the board by 133 and dared it to prove them wrong. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Majors. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
