The Bears torched the value chart for Phillip Webb, taking him 153 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
