FutureA+
The Giants cashed the board's mistake on Legette: B. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Giants shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
On value alone, Legette makes the weekend a net positive. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
The cost of the Holker reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Xavier Legette
In slot 32 they get a weapon on the perimeter, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick51
Rnd2
Cooper Beebe
They took Cooper Beebe at par in the 51st pick, which is nothing to complain about. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick54
Rnd2
Brandon Dorlus
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Brandon Dorlus. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick64
Rnd2
Denzel Burke
Denzel Burke at the 64th overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick69
Rnd3
Chris Braswell
No edge and no loss on Chris Braswell in pick No. 69; it is a wash and a sensible one. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick97
Rnd3
Jordan Travis
Jordan Travis in Round 3, Pick 34 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The roster fit checks out.
Pick105
Rnd4
Blake Fisher
Blake Fisher in the 105th overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick142
Rnd5
MarShawn Lloyd
No drama and no debate, MarShawn Lloyd went about where he belonged in pick No. 142. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick148
Rnd5
Dallin Holker
They paid a round early for Dallin Holker in the 148th pick, more than the board wanted. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick183
Rnd6
Cam Hart
Fair-plus on Cam Hart, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
