The Chiefs checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Chiefs did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to tight end, which was the need that mattered most. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
