The Chiefs let Mims fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

The Chiefs spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Amarius Mims, the No. 21 name on the board, in pick 60. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball. Their trades came out a wash either way.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
