Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesC+ FutureB+
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Seahawks and Nix: B.

When a board-topper like Bo Nix slides to the Round 2 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Seahawks did not.

They are betting Bortolini proves the room right and everyone else wrong. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick29 Rnd1 Chop Robinson
In the 29th pick they get a disruptor off the edge. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick61 Rnd2 Bo Nix
Bo Nix in the 61st overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick78 Rnd3 Christian Mahogany
Christian Mahogany at the Round 3 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick95 Rnd3 Gabriel Murphy
Gabriel Murphy at Round 3, Pick 32 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick119 Rnd4 Tykee Smith
Tykee Smith in pick No. 119 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick133 Rnd4 Ben Sinnott
A reach for Ben Sinnott in pick 133; a little patience would have been rewarded. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick151 Rnd5 Edefuan Ulofoshio
They went early on Edefuan Ulofoshio in No. 151, and the value did not follow. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick194 Rnd6 Tanor Bortolini
Tanor Bortolini in slot 194 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick233 Rnd7 Trevor Keegan
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Trevor Keegan. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
