A passer of the future in Williams, and a F, for the Lions. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Lions shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.
The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
If Williams pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with linebacker still staring back at them.
