The tape said wait; the Steelers did not. Sam Hartman went at slot 219, a good 39 picks before the board was ready. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Getting Cowing where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Van Pran pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with safety, edge rusher and other spots still on the board.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
