Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B
ValueB- NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
The Seahawks cashed the board's mistake on Cornelius: B.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Ajani Cornelius got past him. The Seahawks do not have to explain a thing at slot 136. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. Delp has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Abdul Carter
In the Round 1 slot they get a disruptor off the edge. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick47 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
They paid sticker price for Tyler Booker in pick 47, and that is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick78 Rnd3 Dillon Gabriel
They took Dillon Gabriel at par in Round 3, Pick 14, which is nothing to complain about. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick136 Rnd4 Ajani Cornelius
They robbed the room for Ajani Cornelius here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick173 Rnd5 Barrett Carter
Nice patience on Barrett Carter, who had no business lasting to the 173rd pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick194 Rnd6 Benjamin Morrison
A tidy little value on Benjamin Morrison in pick No. 194, a step better than break-even. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick210 Rnd6 Damien Martinez
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Damien Martinez at slot 210. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick230 Rnd7 Oscar Delp
Oscar Delp at No. 230 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
