Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Patriots were there to profit. Kyle Monangai, the No. 218 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 238. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. The Porter pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

The Christian Kirk deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
