The Tyler Batty selection is the head-turner. The Panthers reached 77 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.

However the rest shakes out, Paul Jr. at that price is a win they earned. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
