A respectable, level-headed haul for the Cowboys: B.

The Cowboys looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Collin Oliver at slot 204 regardless, 119 picks early. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

That is a quarterback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On the needs board they went 7 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
