Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB+ TradesC+ FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Eagles: B-.

Nobody else had Kyren Lacy anywhere near pick 168. The Eagles did, by 123 spots, and that gap is the whole story. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

The Belton value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Nick Emmanwori
In pick No. 32 they get an enforcer at safety at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick64 Rnd2 Darius Alexander
This one needs a full-page explanation: Darius Alexander in No. 64, miles early. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick96 Rnd3 Oluwafemi Oladejo
Oluwafemi Oladejo at slot 96 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick134 Rnd4 Anthony Belton
Anthony Belton in the 134th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick161 Rnd5 Seth McLaughlin
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Seth McLaughlin. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick164 Rnd5 Jaydon Blue
Jaydon Blue at the 164th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It fills a real need, too.
Pick168 Rnd5 Kyren Lacy
A wild overpay on Kyren Lacy in slot 168, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick235 Rnd7 Bilhal Kone
Bilhal Kone in pick No. 235 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
