More right than wrong for the Lions, and a B- to prove it. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Lions walked out of the weekend still thin at cornerback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons.
That Nolen pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Every board in the league had Ivey lower, and that gap is the story. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Walter Nolen
In pick No. 28 they get a load in the middle, outstanding value to boot. Need was not the driver here.
Pick60
Rnd2
Jared Ivey
Jared Ivey in the 60th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
